P l o t * *
The year is 1856. London is a thriving city in the heart of the industrial revolution. Of course, the close quarters and the air thick with pollutants make illness and mortality an inevitable fact of life.
But a new virus has emerged. Something that is transferred by teeth in flesh. No doctor can diagnose this. It is unrivaled by any other illness.
People are becoming vampires.
And the government do not like it. They have collected as many criminals, renegades and dark-hearts to fight against them. To train with Peruvian and Russian professionals to become London's very own society of Slayers, based in a little house in Juer Street, Battersea.
Of course, violence is not the answer, and there are a few who are keen to try and find a cure. They are the doctors and nurses of the Abbey, who take care of the infected patients and protect them from themselves, as well as the rest of the world.
It is said that a doctor on Harley Street is working on a cure, but needs volunteers to help him. Volunteers willing to be bitten, and those who are already infected to be subjected to shady tests.
Of course, it's not that easy. With slayers prowling every street, it's hard to make people understand who these 'Vampires' really are. Humans, humans that are sick. Or so the medical men think.
There are those who seem beyond help. Plasmovores who like the taste of blood, and are driven mad with it. They are taken to the Abbey Mews.
No one knows what they do to them. But it is very rare that you will see someone who is taken into the Abbey Mews that will come out alive. The fire continually burns.
All in all it's a dangerous and frightening time to be in London. But will you survive?
