[/font][/size][/center] Dorian Michael Denixost
[call him Dorey if you must.]
{Gender;;} male, hun bun. Though sometimes he acts quite girlish - just to be creepy.
{Age::} [appears] twenty-eight. He was bitten four years ago, so should be at least thirty-something, but obviously does not appear that way.
{Height;;} 6'0''
{Status;;} VampyMan. :3
{Occupation;;} None - he does "whore" his way around sometimes, but it isn't an occupation. He has no need for one.
{Appearance;;}
Well. Let's just start off by clarifying one thing: Dorian is a rather.. intimidating sort of person. There's no denying this fact, and there are several different things that add to this; one factor doesn't only contribute to his being an eerie-looking individual. He's the kind of guy that seems to hold something intriguing about him, by his odd appearance and aura, but it's generally negative attention, especially in England, where "his kind" aren't usually seen. By "his kind" it isn't necessarily referring to vampirism. He is a Japanese male who is already creepy enough as it is, mixed into England and bearing a personality that scares most people.
Working from the top down - Dorian hosts naturally black hair, as is custom of his roots of Japan, and it is that standard 'silken black, easy to manage' shiny Asian hair that is so infamous. However, like most things, Dorey has made his locks his own. He tends to style it so that it sticks up, not really clinging to his head as is natural of his Japanese people. Naturally, of course, the tresses are of this fashion - and sometimes he leaves them this way [like in his signature, =O] but when out and about one can usually catch the vampire with his hair rather puffed-up. The hair is quite long, covering his ears so that they are rarely, if ever, seen - and it falls into his eyes in thick but smooth bang, nearly covering the right eye while sliding somewhat on either side of his left. However, his hair is subject to change, and very frequently - the male is constantly changing his appearance for his own various reasons. He isn't above putting streaks of honey blonde or some other random color in it, though his hair is his pride and he is incredibly careful with it.
An example of hair when it's.. "poofy."
Okay, well. You can't realy see that all that well.. *sweatdrop*
There. o-O
The eyes are probably what makes him so 'intimidating.' They are simply black, nothing else to say on the color - there is no doubt that the eyes are of such a dark hue. They are, of course, surrounded by a dark, "I was punched in the face three days ago" sort of circling, though the look is quite natural, and goes well with the beautifully pale skin that he wears so well. The darkness surrounding his eyes hosts tints of maroon, dark brown, gray, and black, though upon first glance probably simply appears black in color. Lashes are of the normal length, not really long enough to gain any attention in that aspect, and the dark brows match the hue of his silky hair, being "round-edly" arched in a manner that could make him come off as a bit of a cold, serious person. Luckily they are considerably masked by his hair, and so the wide eyes give off his seeming innocence and what could also be taken as a crazed expression - The male has a tendency to just stare at people with this huge-eyed expression, tilting his head only just to the side as if studying them. Shudder.
The face is 'normal-looking' as far as shape goes, but few really notice that when taking him in for the first time. His lips are a dark, dark purple, being a bit full for what is considered 'normal' of his Asian blood, the color also being somewhat gray even. He has mastered the "pouty" look, and his skin is incredibly smooth and very pale. He is extremely cold to the touch, all of the time - Well, he is a vampire. >.> He hosts the standard 'dead, creature of the night' look. As is to be expected. White, slender, deathly sharp fangs make their home where eyeteeth would be. The nose is not really 'small' or 'buttony,' and his facial features are not even all that feminine - in fact, it is quite easy to recognize Dorian as a male.
He certainly has a male's body - Reaching about six-foot even, the man is quite tall and extremely lithe, almost catlike in his movements. He is incredibly sneaky and holds a sort of strange, creepy grace about him. His swiftness is something that unnerves most people, and then he'll completely change on them, acting slow and moving as if he hasn't a care in the world. It's scary. O: His torso is very long, as are his limbs, and they are usually made even longer by the dark clothing he wears. Dorian can most often be seen in what other color? - of course, black. The color suits him well, and he knows this. Suits and slacks, white dress suits, even coat tails can be seen upon the young male. But, as is systematic with his personality, his style is anything /but/, and he will add random splashes of color depending on his mood or whom he is trying to impress. He can dress both very manly and male-oriented or very feminine. He's crazy.
Overall, there is something.. 'not right' that turns most people off, keeping them away from Dorian. Perhaps it is that little thing called basic human intuition. He's morbidly beautiful, but also eerie and somewhat intimidating. Certainly not your usual English chap. And he hates tea.
{Personality;;}
Dorian is.. without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most odd people one could possibly ever meet. It's impossible to be able to pinpoint his character to a tee, simply because he is so.. /bipolar./ One can never be able to tell what he will do next. Once you think you've got him figured out, BOOM. He off and does something to completely challenge you. However, I shall attempt to supply you with at least a few of his character traits. Perhaps then you can try to come up with some sort of view of him on your own.
Dorian is a master of changing himself. He can be whomever he wants to be - the sultry, seductive vampire of the night, the childish, flamboyant doll, the sinister, wicked, and malicious demon.. He also plays a lovely cold, aloof character, but typically reserves this fascade for those he does not care to associate with - and that preference is not very set, for he seems to find interest in most of the people he comes into contact with. It's next to impossible to decipher if he truly likes you or not, for he is a natural liar and a liar with /grace./ Words flow from his lips like silken honey, and he has the wonderful ability to be able to provide most people with what they most want to hear. A born-seductor, Dorey will use whatever means necessary to get what he wants. Blood has never been hard to come by for the male, not when he can so beautifully convince just about anyone to come to his bed. The prostitute off of the street, the ritzy heiress, the lanky boat dock worker.. he has no real preference, other than his blood preferences, of course. He has no real sexual orientation, for he is not able to feel true love. Only lust.
Yes, he quite the little actor. Perhaps why he changes his appearance so much. He likes to have fun, and lives his life with what could be considered "reckless abandon," hardly taking the time to consider things or dabble in what consequences could arise. What has he got to lose, after all? He claims to fear 'nothing,' (well, sometimes he'll make up fears just to be cute - "I'm scared of lightning D; Hold me") but deep down the male does have a fear of dying. But, he never shows it, and will often joke about how he needs to hurry up and "accomplish some things" because his time's "coming soon."
He is.. odd. He says and does odd things. It's quite hard to explain. Dorian is apt to take anyone by complete surprise. He seems to have these.. bizarre mood changes. Happy one moment and sad the next. Anger is something that can flare up quite quickly as well. Dorian is easily angered, for he is not the most patient of souls - he's rather like a child in that aspect. However, there is nothing childish about his angry self, for he can be immensely dangerous when enraged. Prone to throwing, hitting.. killing, even. It all depends on how pissed he can become, really. ^^ There is no control over his temper; it has a mind all its own and is a dangerous thing to have to live with. Dangerous for those who cross it.
However, despite all of that, Dorian can be a.. er.. nice sort of fellow, even pleasant. It's all just so.. weird, really - those few who 'know' him likely don't trust him. He can seem so sweet and mild, timid and shy when he needs to be, or outgoing and friendly when he wants, that it's hard to imagine there's a darker, more horrible side lurking beneath the surface. I hate to say it, but he is a bit mad. O-o He wasn't always.. It's a bit sad, for he was once a good, decent person. Vampirism has manifested itself in Dorian, and he likes who he is - sort of. As is usual, there is a decent amount of angst in the young male, but unlike most of his kind that are suffering with the condition and actually want help, Dorian enjoys it. He enjoys the power that comes with being strong, fast, and beautiful. And yet, he doesn't. Heh, bi-schizo, much?
When 'happy,' or 'excited,' I suppose we should say, Dorian is the most "I love life! <3" sort of person you've ever seen. He loves New York, which is where he came from, and his Japanese lookage is as far as the word 'Japanese' goes. He hosts no accent, no /trace/ of an accent, and no knowledge whatsoever of the language, customs, or even of the country itself. Bright lights and busy, exciting things make him happy. ^^ He also loves to study people - Dorian is apt to just sit there and stare at someone, and though this could be considered quite rude, he does it anyway. It's as if he's fascinated. No one knows just what is going on in that head of his, or why he seems to like to watch people so much. Maybe it's better we don't know..
Because he was 'turned' a vampire, he still hosts some amount of humanity. But, the killing of his guardians and his brother pretty much distorted his mind, and then, because he was never told what was happening to him or /why,/ his brain manifested strange, strange ideas. He is definitely a corrupted soul, forever changed from what he once was. He is rather cruel sometimes, seeming not to care about anybody but himself. Maybe not even himself.
There is still a part of him that is not entirely horrid. He has completely forgotten who he used to be.. But, should that be reminded to him, perhaps it would bleed through. His old fiance is still alive somewhere, but his mind has thoroughly gotten rid of her; he doesn't even remember her at all. Little things could remind him, but so far he's blank as far as that goes. He's.. strange. Is he good, or is he bad? I dunno. o.O;; He hasn't killed anyone since he lived in New York that first year of being a vampire.. because he couldn't control himself. He does seem to host some remorse at times and can be quite the little angsty man. But he hides it well. Just.. don't trust him. His true self is far from being discovered; perhaps we shall never know just exactly who he is inside, for he's so many different people.
{History;;}
Dorian's vampire mind has, for the most part, completely pushed out all of his memories before four years ago, when he was 'turned.' He does remember small details, but his mind has twisted things somewhat, so that they aren't entirely true. For instance, he killed both of his legal guardians as well as his older brother, but his brain is convinced that it was self-defense. To this /day/, if asked, he would calmly reply that his "parents" were crazy, psychotic freaks who 'came at him,' and his brother was 'jealous that he was so stunning.' Both of which are lies. >.> But he believes them. n_n
His parents moved to America before Dorian was born, when his older brother Yukaru was three years old. [If Yukaru were alive today he would be thirty-five.] Dorian was actually born the year they moved there, making him officially a citizen of the United States; he was given an American name. His true surname is obviously not Denixost. He changed it to the French last name after he became an orphan, by his own hand. He loves French, even though he knows nothing of the language.. His true parents died when he was still a baby, and he and his brother were taken in by an American couple. He and his brother were raised American, and life just happened.
What really makes him who he is now happened just four years ago. Four years ago when the male was twenty-eight, the prime of his life. He does not even remember the incident, only that he was forever changed after what happened [being bitten, ]. The bloodlust for the newly-turned vampire was too great to ignore, and he ended up killing both of his "parents" when they were all having dinner together - the 'mother' cut her hand on a knife and shit happened. When his brother [who was then thirty-one] tried to stop him, he killed him too, an accident, but also the beginnings of his transition into darkness. For though he had murdered his parents, he did not drink from them. By the time his brother's blood was spilling, Dorian couldn't control himself any more.
At first, there was fear. A paralyzing, grappling fear. At twenty-eight he was of course living on his own, with a girlfriend whom he was planning on marrying [engaged for seven months, actually]. He left home that night, running someplace far away where he could be alone.
To New York City.
The city was his sanctuary. No one had to tell him what he was turning into. No one had to instruct him what to do. He simply disappeared from his old home, and lived in the city for three years, loving every minute of it. "Loving" as much as possible, that is. As a new vampire in the beginning, he could not control himself. With no guidance, no place to turn to, Dorian was reborn and he was /hungry./ And he soon discovered he had the means to get what he needed. His first victims he ended up killing, taking too much. He couldn't handle himself, and soon it got to the point where he felt no sense of remorse for what he did at all. His mind developed into something sinister and strange - he became childlike again, no longer the serious, kind person he was before.
Living alone, he found various means of work, always at night, always in the grimy streets of New York, where the poor thrived, but never too far away from that marvelous city. He just couldn't keep himself away. His "jobs" weren't pretty, but he learned to use his body to get what he wanted, and to use his strength to make sure that he got what he needed. His fangs became his friends, and he sank into his vampiric self, letting the vampire within take him over without much of a struggle.
The fourth year as a vampire, Dorian began to grow restless. He realized by now that he was never going to age.. that he would always be the same. And it pleased him. And so, in typical 'strange, random, unsystematic' Dorian fashion, the male moved to England - only about two months ago. The culture is completely strange. The people are slow to accept him, as he looks and acts differently. But there are so many others like him here.. And there are so many possibilities. The male will tell anyone who will listen that he is 'in England on business,' the business being that he is researching some business firm and yada yada yada, and that he shall be returning to America within the next year. It's fun to make up stories when you've got nothing to lose. No one you love and no one who loves you - that's how it should be.
{Fears;;}
+ Fire
+ Not getting what he wants [doesn't fear it, really. just doesn't like it much. ^^]
+ death [though he claims not to]
+ the color puce [makes him uncomfortable]
+ stoves - he has an unnatural fear of being burnt. That and, he can't cook at /all./ Not that he needs to, really. But before.. he couldn't, either.
+ completely losing himself to his vampiric self [too late for that kid] He doesn't like losing, xD
{Skills and talents;;}
+ Dorian is a bit of a smooth-talker. His words are like silken velvet to most, and his tone is hardly anything but that as well. He is a deeply seductive character and seems to know /just/ where to touch people.. just what to say.. Well, I suppose most vampires are like that then, aren't they? -shot-
+ very crafty - though he can come off as a bit silly and dense, Dorian is very intelligent indeed, and able to come up with many sneaky and devious plans of his own.
+ Cruelty - he has been a vampire for four years, and though traces of humanity still linger, they succumb to his darker side without much thought at all. This coldness is indeed a 'skill,' for without it he wouldn't be able to do some of the things that he does.
+ Desire - he is a passionate fellow, and able to work from this.
+ He's very creative?
