[Liza, Liz]
{Gender;;} Female
{Age::} 15
{Height;;} 5''8
{Status;;} Mortal
{Occupation;;}Flower girl
{Appearance;;} Her hair is a mix of different browns and blonds, with the darkest colour being chocolate brown and the lightest being dirty blond. These colours change about depending on the conditions she is currently living in and how much sun she has seen. On average her hair is usually mouse and chocolate brown with a few strands of dirty blond. Her hair, if let down, travels half way down her back, with a slight kink in it at the bottom. However, due to having to look respectable to sell anything, her hair is usually tied in a low pony-tail, tied with a faded red ribbon, though parts usually escape and hang over her oval face. Her hair is also quite tangled and scruffy.
Her skin is slightly tanned, due to having to be outside at all hours, and usually covered in a layer of dust and dirt unless she can find water to bath in. She has a couple of freckles on her nose, though these are usually hidden by dirt. She is quite thin, on the edge of being called undernourished, with her elbows,shoulder bones and cheek bones, sticking out quite a lot. Though you wouldn't consider her weak looking or unhealthy. She is also quite tall for her age, something that she is proud of and will often try and use it to her advantage. She is usually wearing a light blue dress that falls off the shoulders, it is starting to lose it's colouring and is quite faded in some places. The dress goes all the way to her feet, with her worn light brown leather boots poking out. the boots are so worn that around the heels the leather has started to fray and Eliza often finds that water makes its way inside.Her arms are bare, though not from choice. Around her neck she wears a simple cross, the only thing of any value that she owns. On Sundays she adds a black, thinned brim hat to her outfit. On it is a single feather, green in colour. It is quite small but serves to brighten up the garment.
Her eyes are muddy brown, and always seem to have a cheeky twinkle in them; as if she is telling a joke that you should know. Her eyes tend to stand out in her face since she is nothing very pretty to look at and they are often the only way to tell how she is feeling. You could say she lives through her eyes.
{Personality;;} Eliza is quite proud in herself and her achievements, and will boast about what little she has. Be it selling every last heather bundle or managing to sell a single one to 'that rich 'ole gentleman up the road'. Though she is not at all vain, and will often not believe a compliment handed to her if it is based on her appearance, which isn't very often.
She is also quick tounged and witty. Often catching people off guard due to her gentile atmosphere. There are not many people that can out talk her either, since she often tends to tell people her thoughts rather than keeping them to herself. She also finds pleasure in getting a complete stranger to talk to her since it is someone new to tell about herself. It is true that not many people do not know something about Eliza that should be kept private.
She often has no time for beggars or people who ask something of her. In her mind, everything should be gotten oneself, and that charity is only to be excepted or given in the worse possible moments. She has also been known to hit people that get on her nerves or ask her for something, though she is not naturally an angry person.
{History;;} Eliza has lived in London her whole life, still residing in the same street that she was born. Neither her mother or father had much money, working the whole time, with the threat of the workhouse always hovering right behind them. Despite this her family was quite large; with two older brothers, and another younger brother and sister. When her mother, father, and older brothers where out working she was looked upon to make the meals, keep the house tidy and to look after her younger siblings.
When she became 12, she was sent out to earn money to help with the family, as well as looking after the house and family. Though by this point, her sister Isabelle was 8 and helping her out. Her work consisted mostly of selling homemade objects that where created by herself and her younger brother and sister. Though she soon found herself working under the watchful eye of a nearby flower stall, shuffling the streets of London with her basket of flowers.
Eliza never went to school, learning all she knew from her father and oldest brother, both of which went to school up to the age of 14. Everything else she has learnt from watching others and listening in on other people. She cannot read or write, however she can count up to 1 pound, and recite most of the bible from heart. Her family is very religious and each Sunday they all find themselves at their local chapel.
Both her older brothers never had much time for her, considering that she was 'only a girl' and therefore not worth their time. They, as did the rest of her family, see Eliza as the maker of meals and the cleaner of the one roomed building that served as a house. However this didn't stop her from following them where ever they went. It was a common sight for the younger Eliza to be seen in the middle of a fight that had broken out. That has meant that the boys around where she lives don't treat her as a lady and more of a boy. Something that her mum looks down her nose at. Praise didn't exist in her household, meaning that when that odd compliment came her way she grew to just ignore it. Complaints and arguments where all the more often anyway. This is where Eliza gets her attitudes for praise from, she strongly believes that the best form of praise is not finding a fault.
She still lives with her parents, and has to give them every last penny she earns as payment. In return she gets a roof over her head, though she still has to cook the meals herself. Her older brothers have now left home and every now and again send money to help them out, though this money is often small and few between. On average the family has just enough money to feed themselves and to, every now and again, buy some sort of must need item. All the boys are put first and Eliza and her younger sister usually ends up with the scraps.
