Adair exhaled shakily as he felt Byakko's fingers, tipped with sharp and dangerous claws, slide down his cheek, beneath his chin, and at last, to his throat. The movement was completely gentle and innocent, but he was aware, as he tilted his head back slightly, a soft whine escaping his lips and begging her to continue touching him, that she would have been able to take his life, then and there, while he was under her spell. All she had to do was dig her fingernails into his throat and tear at it to make it bleed, or, more in the style of a vampire, sink her fangs into it and drain his blood dry. His eyes opened once more - he hadn't even remembered closing them, he had simply done it out of impulse, something that he hadn't allowed himself to do in a long time - and tilted his head back down to look at her. "You captivate me so easily," He murmured, no amusement in his voice, only surprise. "You're a very different sort of female."
Or maybe, he reflected, it was simply that he was not like the other vampires. He was still so young, and painfully naïve. He'd killed hundreds, no, thousands of humans in his time as a vampire, and still, he knew so little. He was so vulnerable. So human, still.
Adair's eyes closed again, and another breathy sound passed his lips as Byakko's fangs grazed his skin. "I did like it," He admitted quietly. "And I don't see why you haven't been complimented before. Even in that old dress, even living out here with these dogs, you're prettier than those silly human females." He knew what it was, too-- it was that Byakko was wild, exciting, different. Sometimes inhumanly cruel, sometimes breathtakingly warm.
A pale hand placed itself on the underside of Byakko's chin, tilting it up just slightly as his lips once again found the skin of her throat. This time, there was no chaste, gentle feeling in his kisses; his lips parted against her flesh, teeth making delicious, irritated red marks on the otherwise unflawed skin, which he proceeded to nurse gently with his tongue before he lifted his head once again, all the seductive and sadistic excitement having returned to his icy gaze.

“That’s because I’ve had a very different life. I was always an animal though,” She lifted a slender hand, the fingers rigid, flexing in a bestial manner, exposing and exaggerating her long dangerously curved nails. Byakko had never been really been exposed to people, she’d watch them often, condemned to her bed, a sickly, frail, shadow of life; but by god no one could ever tell it now. Her observations continued when she was brought to gloomy old London, she was more their prey then they were hers, way back when… She lernt about things the animal way, mimicking the dogs until she acted like them automatically, even before some doubtful human thought could flutter through her mind. The cats the rats… she picked up habits from a lot of the cities pathetic wilds, growing into a new monster. “Getting bitten just gave me claws and fangs” The vampires flashed them at him, tilting her head at his reactions, observing them, taking them in with a hungry amusement.
”All they see is the blood and all they hear are howls and growls.” She let her claws slide along his jaw as she spoke, bi-coloured hues on his own eyes, which he had closed for the moment. A smirk moved across her parted lips, her tongue trailing across her sharp ivory fangs before she continued. “ I won’t allow them to see anything else”
The humanity vampires loose…becomes less apparent the more years they’re left to dwell in this place, this world full of delectably easy pickings. After the years roll by, most vampires become aware that…they still know very little, are much more like the humans then they care to realize. It becomes more apparent when a young vampire comes into contact with one that’s possibly centuries older…whose scent is plagued by that of eroded stone and stale scents of life… but it happened in other instances too, apparently. Byakko wanted to refuse the notion completely…of still retaining some remnants of humanity, she made a much better monster, she figured. But here he was…this other vampire, making her react like she’d recently been strolling out in the sun, talking with merchants and dancing with small-minded young prudes. The feral Vampiress’ neck was tipped back, she took in a sharp breath, half melded with a effort induced hiss. Every part of her skin that met his fangs began to burn, her eyes were closed before she could stop them, and she was leaning her head slightly, to allow him more skin. Byakko’s purr was thick and loud, a noise much like that you would suspect a large wild beast to make. Air seemed to be teasingly eluding her too…it didn’t matter how much she sucked in…it always came out to soon to count, usually along with a well kept in moan.
Cold shivers cascaded down her spine, she could feel every detail, where his fangs grazed and where his lips touched, where his tongue soothed. A low murr betrayed her parted, silently breathless lips; the vampires tipped her head toward him, moving her tongue across his jaw line, letting the skin of her own cheek brush against his as he lifted his head. Half lidded, ecstasy drugged optics surveyed his own as she let her lungs take in some of the air she hadn’t successfully taken in before. The skin on Byakko’s neck burned cruelly, taunting her, urging her to ask for more attention to it.

"I can see that. There hardly seems to be a scrap of humanity left to you," Adair whispered, blinking slowly. "As for myself, I didn't want to be a monster. I was taken against my will. And at first, I hated it. But I've grown, over time, to appreciate blood..." It was a strange thing indeed, going from that weak and timid child, the one his parents always referred to behind his back as "the slow one", to a creature that held such power. There were things that he missed; the sun, on occasion, the more natural human contact, and of course, the time that he had once spent with his baby sister, over a decade earlier. He liked to think that he had forgotten the girl, moving on to something better, but the truth was that Mina was still very much alive in his mind.
Not a muscle in Adair's face moved as Byakko's tongue slid along his jaw, but his pupils shrunk just slightly, his eyes glowing with a more feral and more enraptured appearence. "There's something I should tell you before we go any further, and if you don't agree, I'm afraid I'll have to leave you now," The vampire whispered, his cheek pressing against Byakko's, his lips positioned by her ear. "I'm dedicated to my work, milady. Very dedicated. And if all goes as planned, I will remain young and beautiful enough to keep up this work for all eternity." Nuzzling her gently, almost comfortingly, there was a less subtle hint of sarcasm tinging Adair's next words. "I don't want to spend the next eternity with you. I can't be with someone, man or woman, human or otherwise, who will become too attached to me. And so I will try my best to make myself impossible to fall in love with." A pink tongue darted out from between his lips, tracing the shell of the woman's ear. "And do not be offended if I leave you after our 'business', whatever you prefer it to be, is over with. Because I will not let myself fall in love with you, either. Do not think me cruel-- because I don't always try to be.
Adair's eyes closed for a few moments as he recited this speech. It was one that he had become used to, the little disclaimer he found himself using almost on a nightly basis. Most of his prey didn't live long enough to fall in love with him anyway; he made sure of that. But he was already certain, whether they only kissed, or decided to make love, that he would not be able to kill the lovely vampiress.

Byakko managed to suppress a slight laugh toward his comments; it made her wonder how much he limited his market, business wise. Did he expect even other vampire to melt for him? Perhaps he was just a little over-confident in his field? Who knew… but he seemed more serious then usual though, she felt the soft skin of his cheek on her own, turning a azure hue toward it, as if to question….but it wasn’t like he could see. Did he really think she’d fall in love with him? It was true that Byakko was rather naïve when it came to things like this and she probably wouldn’t know even if she had fallen, however hard. A shiver racked her spine as she felt his tongue on her ear, the vampiress let out a slight laugh, turning her head to the side and resting her forehead on his cheek. A smirk tainted her lips as she parted them, nipping the flesh under his jaw with a low thunderous purr, which suspiciously sounded like laughter. ”Just who are you trying to convince?” She asked quietly, her voice little more then a soft purr as she blew gently across his skin. Byakko nuzzled under his chin, making him tip his head back a little before a hue of smouldering umber threatened to swallow him up as she set it on his face.
”That was a nice speech.” She mused with a feline smile; half lidding her elegantly slanted visionaries with her amused smile. “There’s no doubt I like you, M’dear but a pretty over-used word like ‘Love’ is heading a little toward the extremes. As well as that, I’m not clingy…” She lifted a finger as if to make her point, pressing it against his bottom lip, the claw streaking dangerously across the flesh as she made him tip his head down a little. “Love is for the living. I won’t waste my afterlife on it.” Love was a parlour trick; for needy boys and lonely girls… mainly because they weren’t suited for anyone but each other. Byakko enjoyed life by herself, with the dogs, running wild through the night. She enjoyed the freedom of it, doing whatever, whenever she wanted. Not even the gods could pry her freedom away from her… so love definitely couldn’t.
“Feel free to drop by anytime though”

A soft mewl leaked from Adair's throat as he felt Byakko nip his flesh once again; he really wished that she'd stop doing that, and it wasn't that it hurt, but that it gave him an unexpected, secret satisfaction that resulted in lapses of the control he so cherished. He had always thought himself a sadist, not a masochist, but Byakko had proved him wrong. Fingernails clutched desperately at the woman's slim shoulders. a pleasurable shudder thundering down his spine as she spoke, exhaling over his cold skin.
"That's all well and good, but I'm more worried about myself. I, my dear, can be very clingy. And lust and love are two emotions I sometimes confuse, even having distinctly felt both."
Adair's blue eyes were gentle, almost humanly so, as he stared into Byakko's face, seeming to analyze something with clear and half-lidded optics. A pale hand rested fleetingly on the woman's cold cheek, ghosted chastely over her neck and shoulder, cupped a clothed breast briefly before continuing it's journey down to her waist. He didn't speak, only waited for the woman to make some kind of noise or action as his hand traveled along her waistline to her hip, then to the small of her back, where it finally came to a stop, resting lightly on the curve of her back.
ooc;; Sorry for the ickiness. *should be shot*

A slick laugh escaped her lips as he spoke, looking distinctly amused by what he’d said. she kept the slight smile trained on her face, with slightly parted lips, feeling the distinct sensation of his hand moving swiftly across her skin. “I’m sure I can set you straight.” She purred, lifting dangerous claws to his face, filtering their slender frames through her hair, watching as they parted the tresses, sending her claws to ghost across the skin on his cheek.
A thick purr echoed from her throat as his hand traced her body, she kept her almost totally humanity void optics on his, watching them rest on her with such gentleness… it made her wonder what he thought of her. The hue of dark umber and the hue of Azure looking upon him as they usually did, with a primeval archaic taint to their colouring and ferinely small pupils.
Byakko tipped her head down, letting her long straight tresses flicker forward to cup her slender face in an affectionate manner, she parted her lips, letting a tongue rest on one of her two fangs. A claw slid down the center of his shirt, before she stopped its decent abruptly on the last button, Casting an eye back too him with a predatory glittering running through the hues. “ I’m impossible to ‘Love’ anyway…” She murred curling a claw in the fabric before she flicked her wrist up in an impossibly fluid and fast motion. The only think that told you it had happened was the sharp intake of breath the world seemed to suck in.
The buttons of his shirt all hit the floor with a small set of clicks, which could have easily been mistaken for slight rain. The vampiress lifted her claw to her lips and tapped it on the bottom lip gently, sending it out after an amused moment, tracing the contours of his chest, with those dangerous claws of hers.
” I don’t remember being human enough. So my version is slightly twisted.”

"Perhaps. You don't seem like the type who would let me cling," Adair said quite honestly, as her claws ran through his hair, scraping over his cheek and slightly parting the hair that fell over his forehead. For the first time since their meeting, his left eye got a good, clear look at Byakko before a few sandy curls obscured her again. With a thin smile, one that seemed to keep secrets, he added, "Then again, I don't think marriage is a prospect I'll be bugging you about, so you've no need to worry. I don't think you'd make a very good housewife." Byakko was too wild for such a job. He tried to invision her as a docile and obedient wife, the kind of woman who wore fancy clothes, ran the household, and attended dinner parties, and he nearly laughed.
"I doubt you're impossible to love. I bet there is, or was, someone who considered you very dear," Adair said innocently, watching her hand with a childlike interest as her claw slid down the buttons of his shirt. "And I only say that because, once, there was someone who loved me. A group of people. A very silly family who kept around a very flawed child until he was finally kidnapped." Or did they love him? He still wasn't sure. He was sure his sister had cared for him, she always had. But his parents... they hadn't even tried to look for him when he was taken away. His name had appeared in the newspaper, it was true, but they referred to him as dead...
Suddenly, there was a rapid pitter-patter-ing sound, and Adair glanced at the ground just in time to see a handful of small, metallic circles drop to the ground beneath him. The buttons from his shirt, he realized in the next moment, as he felt his shirt open slightly, his pallid chest exposed to the freezing air. Her claws felt oh-so-foreboding as they traced his skin, but he only smiled. This was what he had wanted, after all. Something exciting, something mysterious, something dangerous.

“Tch. I haven’t been inside a building for years, let alone a house.” She mused, picturing herself as some of the women she’d seen on the streets, the ones who carried themselves with their heads up and chins pointing into the face of everyone shorter then them…literally looking down their nose, at the oppressive and ‘filthy’ world they were forced to live in. Prudish goddesses, she rarely saw pretty ones behind the thick stench and obscurity of ‘make-up’.
She titled her head to think about this particular question, absently streaking a couple of claws on his torso, his skin was soft…slightly warmer then hers, probably some leftover body heat he’d stolen from his last activity… but warmer none the less. Some precious to her? No one sprang to mind… She could still remember the little white feline that used to keep her company as a child. But they’d parted long ago… when she’d been brought overseas. She’d never been subject to the drama of a family…nor a carer and she wasn’t even that attached to the pack she stayed with. Byakko liked and enjoyed their company… but that’s really all it would ever be.
Reality forebode them from becoming her family.
”I don’t have anyone like that.”
The vampiress listened to what he said, tilting her head, they sounded more like his pack then his family, he didn’t use any number of warm fond words that escaped people when they talked about the people that had passed them by. She slipped her hand across the curve of his waist, reaching round, letting her claws tickles his spine, making it almost look like she was hugging him. The vanpiress looked especially amused at this point, grinning almost childishly as she lent her cheek against his chest. Letting the silence linger for a moment as she listened out for his heartbeat. Heh…Some vampires still had them, she usually noticed after mortally wounding them… she always liked to have a listen though…Byakko couldn’t tell you why, even if she did know.
”Nyahaha.” She laughed slightly, prowling round him, palming his skin as she went round, the only warmth she’d ever been exposed to was usually from the blood she spilled and that chilled quickly in the long nights. “Where are they now, then? If they’re precious… then isn’t staying close and protecting them your top priority?”

Adair laughed lightly. "Houses. The word feels so human, doesn't it?" He hadn't lived in a house in ages. His home was the city streets; it was true that he spent the nights sheltered in the houses of others, but he left as soon as their 'business' was settled. "I don't think I'd like to be confined to a house. To live in the same place all the time. It doesn't sound as nice as living outside and going wherever I want."
Adair exhaled slowly, eyes closing briefly. "Your fingers are cold," He whispered, more of an observation than a complaint. He was used to the cold, but his previous contact with a human had left him unprepared for Byakko's freezing fingers. His deft fingers found themselves on the vampiress' back, idly pulling at the tight strings of her corset, loosening the garment. "No one at all. That's strange. I take it, then, that you are an orphan?" Parents had never meant much to Adair; they had been kind to him, they had taken care of him, but he would have been fine without them, and he hardly missed them now. "Who was it that raised you, then? Surely there must have been someone?"
Byakko's head rested against his chest, her cheek cold against his heated skin, and he only smirked. "If you're looking for a heartbeat, you won't find one. I can't remember having had a heartbeat since I became a vampire." He spoke as if this were the most normal thing in the world, as if it were to be expected.
Adair simply shrugged at Byakko's question. "I don't know where my parents are. I don't care, either. And I don't think they care about me anymore, now that they think I'm dead." He murmured. The corset, finally loosened, began to slide slowly down Byakko's hips, no longer clinging to her waist as it had before. "And my sister wouldn't want to associate herself with a monster. I see her sometimes, but I don't speak to her."

Byakko barely felt the corset’s tight hug slacken and slide to sit at her hips, still curled round her frame in an almost affectionate way, “An Orphan? I suppose you could say that…” She mused absently, focused more on the feeling of his skin under her palm. An Orphan… Hn, she’d never been aware she’d ever had parents, they’d never shown her their faces there wasn’t even a name, she would rather believe that spirits native to the forest she’d once inhabited had conceived her instead. Not that she ever thought about the subject.
Her hands had never been warm, not even in life, warmth was a luxury… it only occurred in small enclosed places, or within contact with other people… there was very little warmth in the wild. And if by chance some was found… it would be gone the moment you noticed.
”I was raised by a white cat.” She silenced a giggle with a hand, laughing airily as she lent up and slid her tongue along the bottom of his jaw, purring in a feline manner, as if to make her point. “ But other then that…there was no one. The guy that brought me here died out at sea” She tapped a slender claw on her cheek in thought, she couldn’t remember him… pretty much the only thing she remembered was what absolutely horrible it was out at sea.
”She’s here?” Byakko paused to pass the girl a thought, wondering if she could name anyone who resembled this man. No one sprang to mind instantly, but she wasn’t that focused to be honest. It was only at this point that she noticed that her Corset had been undone, she smirked slightly drawing her claws down to his lower stomach, flashing him a grin and a predatory umber hue. ”Why don’t you speak to her? Ne? You obviously care a great deal or else you wouldn’t watch or look for her…” She nipped at the flesh on his collarbone with a purr, feeling the inside of her corset brush against the curve of her slender hips. It seemed determined to hang on… irritatingly enough.

"Raised by a cat, hm?" Adair repeated, a slight note of amusement slipping into his voice, blending quite nicely with his usual sarcastic tone. He had never been permitted to have a pet cat, but he could remember the scrawny and mangy strays that sometimes lurked outside his father's shop. He had liked to think that he had made friends with the animals, mainly due to the fact that they had always allowed him to pick them up, or weaved between his legs if he dawdled outside of the shop for too long. "Sounds like a strange childhood. And now you run with a dog pack? You certainly are an odd one, Miss Byakko." The feel of her tongue on his jaw unnerved him slightly, gave him chills, caused him to close his eyes and make a very soft, surprised noise. He regained his control a few moments later, though, as Byakko asked another question.
"Oh, yes, she still lives in London. A middle-class lady who sews for a living and lives to impress." Adair said dismissively. He hardly knew the bright, extravagant young woman that his baby sister had grown into, but he could tell simply by the way she dressed and the way she held herself that she lived for other's attention. "She wouldn't want to associate with someone like me, I don't think. Besides, I tend to lose control around beautiful women." As Byakko could surely tell, he thought with a small smirk.
His hands rested on either side of Byakko's loosened corset. Much to his dislike, it chose to cling stubbornly to her waist rather than simply sliding off... he'd have to fix that. "Arms up." He instructed softly, kissing the side of her neck, just beneath her ear, in an almost reassuring fashion.

“I like cats… but the little ones are pretty boring” She mused, as if it were an excuse to run with the Dogs, they were more fun…definitely not as intelligent but they had an undying loyalty too, cats were fickle and moody, dogs were the opposite; which made them better company.
Byakko couldn’t put a finger on it, but the description was familiar…she wouldn’t pretend to have memorized some human though, they escaped her mind quicker then people who had died. She’d never seen them as important, even if every once in a while she was intrigued by one or two…if not in a hungry way. She laughed slightly at his comment about control, a couple of moments later she felt the feel of his lips on her neck. She turned her azure hue toward him, careful not to move her head an deny that mouth her flesh.
She lifted her slender arms, entwining them in the air at the wrists with an amused look on her predatory elegantly feline-like features. She hooked her arms round his neck after a moment, letting the tips of her claws scrape against the back of his neck absently before she looked down laughing slightly again. Underneath the corset a thin silken material clung to her slender form, the middle of her dress one would suppose, but the material didn’t seem to match the various flaps of fabric that formed the ends of the strange dress. The cloth didn’t seem to dress much though, leaving the valley between her breasts exposed to the cold, flowing down to expose a narrowing streak of her toned stomach too. Soft, unmarked placidly tanned skin, tainted with a gold hue… she probably would have made an especially desirable human. It depended entirely on who was looking though…perhaps she made a more desirable beast?
Who could tell?

"Stray dogs seem savage. But then again, I'm not one to talk about being savage." Adair replied quietly, with a small shrug. He'd probably done more harm in the city of London than the entire dog pack, anyway. "And they're lucky; they have such a pretty beast for their master." This wasn't some kind of compliment to win Byakko over anymore; this was the honest truth, spoken in Adair's unsweetened, husky growl. With a small smirk as Byakko obediently lifted her arms, he pulled the corset up over her head and dropped the garment carelessly to the ground behind him.
His eyes took in the girl's golden skin, the narrow strip of stomach, the shoulders and neck. "You are quite pretty, you know. Afterwards, if you'd like, I'll lend you money for some new clothes. That dress doesn't do you any justice." Adair purred, leaning forward to place a quick but sweet kiss on Byakko's lips before he pulled away, smiling quite affectionately. For a monster, a savage, a beast, he thought, Byakko had one of the most breathtaking faces he'd ever seen. Leaning in once more, he kissed her on the cheek, just below her eye. Each gesture was gentle, completely innocent, as that of a human man kissing his sweetheart, but there was still something feral and almost scary in his silver eyes.
"Though I'm not sure if we'd be keeping in contact after this. Still, it'd be nice to see you in something pretty before we're forced to part ways."

The feral vampiress giggled at the compliment, feeling a shiver flood through her slender body as she listened more to the sound then the words themselves, she felt the corset lift, sending her long tresses into a frenzy, a large ripple cascaded through them, sending the ends failing about until they flickered back to hug her petite form.
”Ahaha, if I didn’t know before I definitely know now” She smirked at him, lifting a slender wrist to hide that smile, pressing a couple of fingers to it as it grew into an ivory grin. “You keep saying. You should be careful” She murred with a low growl, tapping a couple of claws on the contours of his chest. “…The last thing you should give an ego is an anima-“ she was interrupted by his lips, that action had earned her surprise, her narrow optics blinked at him as he pulled away. She lifted a slender hand to her head, filtering her fingers through her tresses until her sharp nails vanished within the ink colour. He must’ve taken her words with that kiss… she wasn’t sure what she had been saying. Or why…
Especially not when there was such a hauntingly wonderful creature right in front of her… talking just seemed a waste. She felt his lips again and giggled this time, letting her fangs scrape against the side of his cheek as he pulled back this time. The look in his eyes made her want to tackle and dominate him, such a hungry wild glare.
She curled a claw round his chin, like she’d done a few times before, pulling him down to her level with a primeval grin sinfully tainting her lips. Byakko parted her jaws slightly, letting her tongue slide across his bottom lip with a teasingly light touch. She tilted her head to the side after that, keeping, again, teasingly close. “Hnnnn…” She made a thick rich purring sound, letting her lips brush against him before she pulled back a little and opened her mouth pointedly to speak; “ Not sure? Why aren’t you sure M’love, hm?” A claw slid along his jaw line stopping as his lips where she let the nail sweep across his bottom lip a couple of times. “Something pretty? An’ what might that look like?”

Misty optics narrowed in an expression of amusement, and now it was Adair's turn to stifle a giggle. "You're cutest when you make those faces." He noted, acknowledging the surprised expression on the woman's face. Pale fingers lifted to caress the pure black strands of her hair, fingers disappearing in the soft locks briefly before he pulled his hand back, his claws settling on her waist once again, fingers tracing absently over the bare strip of her stomach.
Adair obediently allowed himself to be pulled forward, remaining silent and unprotesting as Byakko's tongue traced over his bottom lip. As she pulled back, he licked his lips thoughtfully, smiling once more; it was a peculiar taste, he noted, sweet and pleasant but undeniably sinful. "Well, we'll be going our separate ways, won't we? Fate has a funny way with things, love. Who knows where we'll end up?" He purred, shrugging slightly. "Oh, you know the type of dress. I suppose it would have to be one of those nice ones with all the flounces and frills. One of the ones that those fancy upper-class women like." He said with a grin. He certainly had the money for it; he rarely spent what he took, what with not needing food or shelter.
His eyes closed as he leaned forward again, mouth pressing against Byakko's collarbone before he moved downward, ravishing what skin he could reach with his lips, his teeth, his tongue. His lips reached the top of the fabric that clung to the woman's torso, and he lifted his head at last to give her a feral grin. "Clothing is such a bother, isn't it? In my line of work, it only gets in the way."
